Beyond the Beam: Server-Based Synchronization. So we had to go through all the rest, look for incomings, take def home as people did not do what we instructed, move them to targets, take care of crops, etc.

Usually we had like players up during nights so we could not get that big coverage with sitter slots. At times we did not have much time to analyze the opses, so we had to quess a lot or focus on catching 1x hammer at a time. I often tried to take different approach to their opses and risk ww hammers just to get it easier to def.

We were not lacking numberwise, it was more about activity, bad coordination and execution. We were simply lacking people to do what was necessary. At times I was able to handle defs, but at the same time I started to push it more into open coordination. Giving more responsibilities to pretty much anyone wanting to help even a bit. So some of the situations were handled by groups themselves or def players together, although they lacked the courage to do anything else than def ww hammers.

We were able to raise the activity on ww account, but could not get nights completely covered. Harald V and Jumala were building villages there for this purpose with chambers ready. Kadonnut, n3x3 and tempus had all taken some role on the def actions and finally when arget stood up to take control over it I felt like we might still have a small chance. So… things were stabilizing a bit and I tried to think of ways to keep us in the game and make the server not that one sided.

I had been talking with Thomas a lot from GB and we agreed that some kind of cooperation might be the answer to make it more interesting. There had been talk about cooperation since artes, but I did not see that it would have been needed before this. Also Thomas had wanted to include our off accounts in their opses earlier already, but that did not work for us. We helped each others out in cpl opses, but the shitstorm it started was too much so it was better to stop it.

Vihtori Kosola and Heartbeat wanted to join our opses a bit later as they were unhappy with what GB was doing at the time, but same thing again, so it was better not to continue. Finally Thomas suggested a trade, UT for small boots. Sadly, they never needed their boots and in the end this trade did not make any difference. It is sad that you saw it that way. For us it was more about trying to balance things out. You were better than us and we wanted to offer more challenge for you as it was pretty clear at that point how this would end.

At the same time I tried started to organise our accounts for late game. If we survived long enough and had enough capacity we might be able to compete in the endgame. We were taking hits, but most of the damage was mental. Capitals got boosted up mainly really fast and overall things started to look a bit better. I tried to raise the morale despite the fact that we were continuously getting bombed.

We had some completely useless accounts, some that would be left almost completely for feeding purposes and some for mass production. Resulting in almost 12mil def during 30days of queuing which would have put us into somewhere between mil in total at d At the same time readying cata villages and EI sweeps for 6x bp spawn locations. We had something we could call a plan for the late game and people to execute it.

Tbh we were doing really good for a while, but it all started to get a bit rough for people in charge. Opsing had been horrible almost whole round. Everyone had been doing mistakes time after time and the saddest thing about that is that no one seemed to care or even try do better. Instead the amount of fuck ups seemed to get higher towards end. People were failing even on the simpliest of things.

There were 3x different fuck ups on one conquer attempt. Any of those not failing would have made the conquer happen. This was also one of the main reasons I lacked the balls to bring ww hammers into our opses or even try to push for more active opsing towards the end. The risk of wasting ww hammers was too high. Im going to open some stuff account by account, so I wont go too much into detail with all the decision that led into giving up, but lets say that there were too many people on the edge of burnout and too many disappointments behind.

Calls had been made already and we did not have enough time to react into incomings on ww village even if we decided to do that. Some of those attacks were seen in the morning before the hits and we had missed part of them on the nightly rounds going through accounts for incomings. After some failed attempts to take it back fast I had a small breakdown.

Took 24h off from the game and returned with a poll. What did people want to do. I made the poll after talking with the management team. Everyone was exhausted and we did not see much sense in going on. It was not a call to be made by players, more a call that was made by that small chunk of players that had been trying to keep the boat from sinking during past months.

It was absurd how few actually understood the situation. That might also sound absurd, but actually reflects the reality pretty well. Ptt wanted to go for a teuton off acc next round and we went with that. Not my personal favorite, but as he was pretty excited about the round and seemed motivated we started to plan for that. Neurocid and Munkki were asked to join us, munkki skipped the round and neurocid joined.

We decided that as neuro likes to do his own shit that does not really work on our account, he would make his own accounts and cover by sitting. He was less experienced, but from the previous round he had given a good impression of himself as a nice guy and motivated to learn. One of the best personal decisions made by me this round, as I believe we were able to teach him a lot and he was there when I needed it the most. Server started.

Ptt was a bit less active than what I hoped for. Neurocid worked on his accounts and in the beginning it worked well. But the same thing happened to him. Some irl shit and he disappeared completely after a surgery in december. But there was not much to do about that.

Shit happens.. We received ban for botting, that got reverted. I was too tired at the time to even inspect what caused that 2nd bot ban as it happened while I had my hands full of other stuff going on. We had to start changing our plans pretty early and we kept changing those pretty often till the end to fit the needs.

We were lacking ww hammer builders from the beginning and the choices we had and made were overally bad ones. At worst we were thinking about queuing 4x ww rammers for the ally. Usually when ww hammers have been used for opsing those have been special situations or for gamechanger situations. Your way of playing the off game was pretty simple, but also effective and impressing.

True high risk opsing. This is just one example. I did not really have the time on this round to actually play my own account. It is sad, because I still actually enjoy playing this game, the actual playing part. I just stumbled through everything and tried to do the best I could. Spank had potential to be much more, but sadly it ended up being a sad reflection of an off account.

I begin with the positive ones and move onto negatives after that. There are just too many to go through all of you! Motivated and excited to learn, but also able to give some perspective and be critical.

Able to take some responsibilities aswell. Neurocid has been around for ages, since the beginning, but this was 1 st time playing on the same acc with him. Shame that it had to go like this. One of the most inventing and inducing players that I know! He had been out of the game for cpl years already and I shared some history with this guy aswell.

He was like a jackpot for us. Good and reliable player who could cover from time to time. Usually I try to forward these players to accounts that need it the most, but this time I had the right player on my hands at right time. GoNu was one of the key factors that we lasted as long as we did. Not only he helped on the account a lot, but he also enlivened the life in the alliance and even in the management a lot.

I expected more accountwise. Karpaasi was the other half of the off team in the beginning and like Ptt his activity went down, but he did not disappear or quit. He was still around on the offensive side, but because of irl not as much as we would have needed. Once again, I tried not to push Arget into management duties, but once again he stood up when I most needed it and did a great job on both def and offside.

Maybe I should stop respecting your wishes of having real life and instead just push you into the management from the beginning! We need more sacrificial players like these two. We usually tend to speculate how things should be done, how to improve or what would be the best solution. People often criticize without understanding or knowing the nature of things. These boys always give the best they can with the time they have, not only ingame, but outside of it aswell.

Both great guys. Once again, a pleasure to play with you guys. Not to forget Frank! This would not have been possible without you and your efforts. You took part in our voice sessions, the only guy that did not speak finnish. Tried to always be there and give some input aswell. Appreciate it!

Accountwise you did what you planned. Solid scout account. Other than that, you were one of the most reliable things in there thing, not a person. I believe it is pretty common information already that you are in fact a bot made by metsamies, not an actual player. Took more responsibilities when needed.

Helped out on pretty much everything. Handling the scout stuff went well. All in all, great job! This guy has been improving round after round. Running a decent def account and then starting to push scouts on the side aswell as we had problems with Sorry not Sorry. Great job man! Respectable resilience with Oah! You took an account that was left in a shitty condition in a shitty position that would require a lot of activity. Even though you were never able to get that much out of the account itself you persisted in a hard spot better than I could have imagined anyone to do.

It was not easy. Appreciate the effort! Proud of you! Good work boys! I feel sorry about your situation the most. You worked hard like you always do! If our off coordination was better and if we had the balls to bring ww hammers in to opses earlier it might have been more fun for you guys aswell! Thanks for the effort you put into offensive actions. We sucked for real, but atleast we tried to keep it going and we had our moments. Bringing new ideas to the table and truly working on making things better for everyone!

Vilho has always been a guy that gets heated up pretty easily, but this time he went too far and could not control it. Sad thing as he is fundamentally a great guy. Maybe another time. You started a shitstorm and you basically got what you deserved. JJ did great on last round, learned a lot, but this time he had too much going on irl to take part after all. Alfaz and Sobe were both taken in to kind of learn the stuff. Sobe quit in management pretty early, before we actually even saw any action.

It was too much for him to keep up with everything. Alfaz joined a bit later and helped from time to time, but because of his job he was not around that much. It was great getting to know you a bit during this round. Also very happy that you brought your people into this server! Was a pleasure getting beated by you!

There was a great amount of people that did what was expected from them and they did great, but also many that could have done a lot more and I gotta say I was really disappointed to some. Ofcourse people had problems with their motivation and stuff going on irl. It was hard to tell about you guys.

At times it seemed like you were causing a lot of stupid drama and at times you were taking part really well in good manners. One of the biggest disappointments of the server. Partially on my shoulders. I should have paid more focus on every account on earlier phases and it was already too late when we noticed that your account was in a horrible place. You know your stuff, but you fucked up on what you were expected to do. You had a decent def account, but somehow working with you was always really hard.

You were not there, you did not have sitters, your def did not move, it was unmovable or sitting in your own capital. Sometimes it moved, yes, but many times it did not. And sometimes your attitude was a bit shitty tbh. Might have been the language barrier too, but I got to hear from your bad attitude time after time after time from other people.

Sorry man, but you and your account were completely useless for us. I tried to back you up for a while in the beginning until the point that it just was not possible anymore. You are a great player, but your attitude and negativity hurts everything around you. You caused a lot of grey hairs during the round. Crazy guy from Kuwait.

Simming like a crazy, really excited about everything, common memeguy in our alliance. And by that I mean he was a meme. We really did not know if he was serious or just weird. He cared pretty much only about simming during the time he played. Really hard guy to work with. Always asking and wanting to do the wrong decisions. Postponing the start of cata ques and completely lost when it comes to queuing troops.

Had to do all the trainer ques for him till the day before Christmas he just pretty much quit. We had our moments of fun aswell and personally I got a lot from this server. Fun server, disapointing ending. Well, what else should I say? I stated how things were and you were better than us.

No reasong to be a bitch about it. I know everuone has similar stuff going on in their alliances, so what's the big deal? I think the biggest mistake we made was to not mass delete from the server months earlier because you are not worth the effort. Maybe that would have made you happy? Win the server in days without any real fighting? We worked our asses off to make the server last longer even though it was pretty over immediately after artefacts and here we are, reading more pathetic personal attacks.

I don't know if this is the way leadership works, maybe that's why you say you also have players who quit all the time. I don't know what drugs you are on but we never were building a powehouse alliance. We could have, but we specifically did not as we did not want a repeat of previous server. This we have said at least 10 times but you still cling onto it like it justifies wasting time on this server.

If Vilho or Nikuzz trolling in public made you think otherwise I don't know. Not everyone is lucky enough to work on their home and have a flexible working schedule. Your repeated unwarranted personal attacks make you look like an ignorant, arrogant manchild like Mr. R which I still do not think you are despite all the contradicting evidence you are showing especially as of today. Gameplay-wise this was very enlightening. A re-match at some point ought to be fun if we are able to get players, but I seriously doubt that considering the recent changes TG made and their PhD level "raidbot detecting specialists".

The game is dying faster than ever before and I don't think anyone in their right mind cares enough when the environment is as toxic as it is. Maybe we should show some finnish toxicity and register a few accounts to catapult all the farms on your next server, but too bad teching is now legal and farm defending is not possible anymore. I will edit some thank you's to people later and maybe post something productive in a while.

Or not. No point in even aruging about it, we see it differently. Removed my toxic comments better luck next time, ggs. Might post a proper victory speech in the future, who knows. Might post a proper victory speech in the furture, who knows. I kind of ended up stranded on a solo account yet again but hey, it went alright until I had a massive burnout.

I will try keep this short and rather thank all the fine lads and lasses down below. I was a last minute recruit to the server and offered to pretty much play whatever was needed, so teuton def it is. My dual actually suggested the account name to be Braindamage, but I as a fake Swede mole thought it was better with an extra D so there ya go.

Started queuing a small amount of scouts after Fosse rage? Immediately on artespawn I set up a small chief village with a very small club hammer and took part in like opses. Gimped myself for queueing too early. Picked up the second scout arte when I discovered that Innocent kept it in a village with only trained scouts. Could have put it on Trump but in the end it got left on Braindamaged where we also parked the 3x architect.

Account development started to collapse D as I ran out of time to actually work on my own account. I was a happy regular memeing deffyboi who helped Kado with scouting stuff until shit really hit the fan. Kado ended up having to do the majority of work. Then I started to sit Innocent instead of Sorry as one of the players had attempted to wall the WWK into a friendly villages and was generally just being not the best team player and was kicked off the account.

This was to mainly get all incomings and to manage crop after previous hits. Unfortunately, this same player got back on the account later and just walled and deleted the WWK. I put in quite a lot of hours to keep that hammer alive and this is the thanks I got for that. As a result, ended up helping with def as the walls came crashing down on us. I prefer to think of it as a learning experience, but for some reason I have a hard time sitting on my chair after it all. Most of the players thought we should keep going after WW was lost and it was scouted with k enemy def.

Or just make some sacrifices. Otherwise we are essentially wasting days of our lives and money unless the server is not competitive. Not sure if this is what TG wanted with their changes. Disclaimer: There were many people coordinating def that took no part in this. Big props to the latter three who had their sitter triangle working really well. I think this has become a tradition by now. I have always guessed that almost all the work that nobody takes credit for is done by you, but now I know if for a fact.

I feel like we the players let you down on this one. Thanks for all the important lessons. I appreciate the fact that you have no problem telling me to stop doing retarded stuff. Also please accept this corona as my payment of the beer debt.

If you play this game again, make sure to have more than 20k def at d and to actually move troops when told to. I heard Animal Crossing is a pretty popular game right now. Vilho - Pot pot pot, I can understand why you quit, you probably saw the inevitable train wreck before the rest, but the way you went about it was not great.

Only a small amount of hard feelings here though :FeelsFunnyMan:. Loffe - Not carrying that game on Yasuo even with a Volibear support. Like bruh how does a Volibear support have more kills? Everyone who asked if they need to fill a def form when they have 30 incomings - fk off :FeelsFunnyMan:. Indeed interesting to take part of the enemy's perspective. Pretty much everything you were struggling with, we did as well; activity, people not reporting incomings, not being able to send def etc.

Even drama at some points, which we were kind of unused to from last server. One major part of this round was when you pretty much gave up after losing the WW. We didn't plan for endgame at all. Reading about your opses, I can understand it was a struggle. You had like 20 accounts that was involved, that takes some huge interactions and planning. The way you coordinated was new to me, and seemed somewhat ineffective and sometimes even straight up stupid.

Like, going for presumed def villages is a nice idea, but doing it once a week just makes no difference at all. There was actually one point where you had a huge advantage, and that was the first time you went for deff villages and got one of ours with 30k spears, one of morgoths' with something similar in total deff and then one more which I can't remember. But then you just stopped attacking for 2 weeks and let us rebuild.

When you started again, your results were kind of worthless. Over the next couple of opses where you aimed for def villages, you got maybe 1 or 2 actually decent ones, the rest were either starting villages with 0 deff or had very little troops. You also walled a lot of hammers and went through with big trains on some low income capitals which we just skipped deffing. Like bombing Jazz twice was just stupid, had like fields on a 9cropper all round. Also, your split times were somewhat hurting you.

Our account and Dory92 managed to deff both Ent capital and then Dory92 capital when you walled on Dory92 because you hit Ent one hour early and we had like 30 minutes walking distance. All in all I would say it was a pretty fun round until the point where you just gave up and starting walling the WWKs. Until then, you were actually in the lead for winning endgame unless our off squad could manage to kill the most of your WWKs.

But that was because we didn't go for endgame, which I guess in retrospective was a good choice seeing as we would have at more useless accounts mid-to-lategame. Fun to get some perspective from your side aswell. Yeah, we for sure had our problems. We wanted to include everyone that wanted to participate and it was never our intention to keep going only with def villa conquers.

It caused some problems and we were partially too afraid to go with just few sweeps and also feared your def coordinating, maybe a bit too much. We were pretty tired at the point when you conquered our ww. We were struggling so much that we were not able to see or consider things from your point of view at all.

Even if we took another ww we could not have planned def's effectively anymore, those few guys doing that had already stretched too much considering they were still trying to manage their workdays and studies with almost no sleep for a long time. People were taking small naps after work days etc. But I quess that is how it is these days. It really was a fun and refreshing round in some ways, it has been a long time since most of us have experienced something like this, a real challenge and it does not feel that bad when you lose to an enemy that was actually better.

We are getting old I quess, so many irl commitments that it is hard to focus on games as much as we would want to. Although at the same time I'm excited about things like developing arte day strategies and map control after seeing how well you handled and used those as your adventage. After winning anglo 6 we got triggered reading the victory speech from nordics 6 where the finns thought they were superior to all swedes.

So we decided to to join nordics 4 with one goal, destroy the cocky finns. Either by crushing all enemies or taking 12 of the 13 plans. So the key to our success is an experienced and cunning leadership combined with great teamwork. Ofc others then the leadership are great players and this wouldn't be possible without defenders like Ent or offensive players that follows blindly, but my point is: there's no I in team.

Everything was planned to fit our goal for the server. Where to place the capitals and what kind of defence the players should build. Before day our only interest was to secure the spawn for the unique artifacts in our area and remove as many central sweeps for the enemies as possible. I went a little crazy with villas for arts, think we had around 50 spread all over the map to avoid us having to chase artifacts later.

After arts we continued to clear our area from mainly 2nd and Zyklon while using the advantage from the artifacts until we felt ready for a two front war with GB and MM. In our campaigns we lost 4 hammers in total while more or less demoralise both MM and GB. In midgame the leadership went back and forth about taking a WW due to lack of activity in the alliance and the knowledge that everybody would go against us.

The strategy for the plan release was decided a day before and was about denying GB and 2nd plans which resulted in us getting 11 while MM got 2. I knew the risk of MM teaming up with either GB or 2nd but since we got such superior firepower left I could gamble with the possibilty of MM being pathetic.

With MM still holding their two plans one week after day we knew we had won and started to wear down our hammers. At this point more accounts took part of the def work due to fatigue and disinterest of me and Xlore, so we could wall the suicide attacks against us. I would like to conclude by saying: swedes are far superior to finns and the other nordic countries in travian. Quod erat demonstrandum! Alot of laughs, mostly with teammates, but with ppl from other allies as well.

I would have really liked to beat the Swedes. But in order to do so we would have to change so much it does not really make sense to talk about it. I will not ever call swedes superior but, you did give us a beating i will remeber for a long time. As a relatively new player this was indeed a rough server to play, i have played some servers before about 5 years ago but never played endgame. So thanks for the experinece even tough it was a hard beating.

We did give you some off-points so hope you are happy about that. We wanted to be around 12 men fighting in the grey area quickly learning the fins and the swedes show up with around people the leaders recruited a lot of people very fast the days up until server start.

I think we were people maybe in that voice com, mostly people at the same time and it was funny as hell. It just kept getting better and better. Regarding play of the server: From winning the last Nordic 4, with just random crews all other and seeing the difference in premades oh boy the level of the server changed beyond what anyone could expect. So the hype around this server for me was mental. We in GB started of by simming until day 50, and everyone in GB was told to get ready to by day 50 for clearing our own area.

We did a lot of OPS against PROS and destroyed without losing more offs, the operations went really went and we chiefed the supps we wanted and took out their capitals. So naturally we were also in war with 2nd. We did attack them a few times, with arts coming up we stop the operations to prepare.
